Data sources
Where the records come from.
Every aircraft result shows the sources and dates available for that search. Coverage varies by aircraft and source.
Public aviation records
Official sources
FAA Registry
Aircraft identity, registration and reference specifications. Residential addresses and unrelated personal details are omitted.
FAA Service Difficulty Reports
Reported service difficulties and supported model patterns. These reports are not a complete maintenance history or a random sample of failures.
NTSB
Investigated accidents and selected incidents, linked only when aircraft identity and dates support the match.
FAA and Federal Register
Official airworthiness directive references and publication text. Installed configuration and aircraft-level completion require separate evidence.
Search limits
If no record is found
A search covers only the listed sources, dates and supported aircraft identity. An empty result does not prove that no accident, service difficulty or applicable directive exists. Missing coverage stays unknown.
Updates
Source dates and report editions
Sources are retrieved at different times. Check the source dates on the aircraft or model page. Free aircraft reports identify the dated source edition they use. They are available without a purchase when the physical identity and source edition match; missing history remains unknown. A separately purchased report keeps its own edition and private access rules.
